Eight first legs are done. Some ties are over. Some are wide open. And a couple have storylines that go way beyond football.
The Champions League playoff second legs kick off Tuesday February 24 and wrap up Wednesday February 25. Every match matters - the eight winners advance to the Round of 16 where the top eight league phase finishers are already waiting.
Here is every second leg matchup with first leg context, what to watch for, and where the betting value sits.
Bet on Champions League at BlockBet
First leg: Club Brugge 3-3 Atletico Madrid | 18:45 CET | Metropolitano, Madrid
This was supposed to be comfortable for Atletico. They led 2-0 at halftime in Belgium. Then Brugge pulled off one of the most dramatic comebacks of the round, clawing back to 3-3.
That result changes everything for the second leg. The tie is level on aggregate, but Atletico have home advantage at the Metropolitano. Simeone's side will be furious about throwing away a two-goal lead and should come out aggressive.
The problem for Brugge is that they already showed Atletico can be hurt. They know they can score at this level. That makes them dangerous even as heavy underdogs in Madrid.
Betting angles: Atletico to win is the obvious play here. They are at home, they have the squad depth, and Simeone does not lose ties he should win twice in a row. But the first leg showed Brugge can score, so both teams to score is worth looking at. Atletico to win and BTTS could be the sweet spot if you think Brugge nick one but Atletico still go through.
First leg: Olympiacos 0-2 Leverkusen | 21:00 CET | BayArena, Leverkusen
This one is essentially done. Leverkusen won 2-0 away in Greece and now come home to the BayArena with a comfortable cushion. Olympiacos would need to win by three goals in Germany to go through.
Not happening.
Betting angles: Not much value in the outright result. If you are building a parlay, Leverkusen to qualify is as close to a lock as you will find in this round. For the match itself, Leverkusen might rotate slightly with the tie secured, which could make the under look attractive. But Xabi Alonso's side has been clinical all season - even their B-team scores.
First leg: Bodo/Glimt 3-1 Inter | 21:00 CET | San Siro, Milan
The upset of the round. Bodo/Glimt, the Norwegian side that most casual fans had never heard of, beat Inter 3-1 at home in the first leg. Inter traded goals with them before the break, then Bodo/Glimt pulled away with two second-half goals.
Now Inter need to win by at least two goals at home to force extra time, or three to go through in 90 minutes. It is doable - this is Inter at San Siro in the Champions League - but Bodo/Glimt have shown they can defend and hit on the counter. They are unbeaten in seven straight.
Betting angles: Inter to win is almost certain - the question is by how much. Over 2.5 goals looks strong here because Inter have to push forward, which opens space for Bodo/Glimt counters. If you think Inter pull it off, backing them on a -1.5 handicap is the value play. If you think Bodo/Glimt hold on, the away team +2.5 goals handicap offers insurance.
This is also a great live betting match. If Inter score early, the odds on them qualifying will drop fast - but if it is still 0-0 at halftime, Bodo/Glimt's odds to go through will shorten dramatically.
First leg: Qarabag 1-6 Newcastle | 18:45 CET | St James' Park, Newcastle
Six-one in the first leg. This tie is over. Newcastle will almost certainly rotate heavily and treat this as a dead rubber.
Betting angles: Skip this one for singles. If you are building a parlay, Newcastle to qualify is safe but the match result is unpredictable with rotation. If anything, the under could have value with Newcastle taking their foot off the gas.
First leg: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Atalanta | 18:45 CET | Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo
Dortmund were clinical in the first leg, winning 2-0 at home. Atalanta now need to score at least three without reply, or two to force extra time.
Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium are a different animal to Atalanta away. They play high-intensity, aggressive football at home and Gasperini will set them up to attack from minute one. The question is whether Dortmund's two-goal cushion gives them enough room to absorb pressure and hit on the break.
Betting angles: Atalanta to win the match is realistic even if they do not overturn the tie. They will come out firing at home and Dortmund may sit back to protect the aggregate lead. Over 2.5 goals makes sense in a game where one team must attack and the other has space to counter. If you like Atalanta to pull off the comeback, Atalanta -1.5 handicap is the high-risk, high-reward play.
First leg: Galatasaray 5-2 Juventus | 21:00 CET | Allianz Stadium, Turin
Galatasaray destroyed Juventus 5-2 in Istanbul. Victor Osimhen was the difference - the Nigerian striker has scored six of Galatasaray's nine Champions League goals this season and was unplayable in the first leg.
Juventus need to win by at least four goals to go through. In European football, that almost never happens. This tie is effectively over.
Betting angles: Galatasaray to qualify is the safest bet of the round. For the match itself, Juventus will try to restore some pride at home, so they should win on the night. But the aggregate is done. If you are parlaying, Galatasaray to qualify combined with other results is the way to use this fixture.
First leg: Monaco 2-3 PSG | 21:00 CET | Parc des Princes, Paris
The French derby produced five goals in the first leg. Monaco actually led 2-0 after a Balogun brace in the first 18 minutes, but PSG - the defending Champions League holders - stormed back to win 3-2.
PSG now have the aggregate lead and home advantage at the Parc des Princes. A draw is enough for them. But Monaco already proved they can score against this PSG defense, and they did beat PSG 1-0 in Ligue 1 earlier this season.
Betting angles: PSG to qualify looks solid but they have been inconsistent this season - winning only two of their last six Champions League matches heading into the playoffs. Both teams to score is the play here given the first leg pattern. If Monaco score first, the live betting odds on PSG will spike and that could be the moment to back the defending champions at better value.
First leg: Benfica 0-1 Real Madrid | 21:00 CET | Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid
The biggest match of the round, and it comes loaded with drama that goes beyond football.
Real Madrid won 1-0 in Lisbon through a Vinicius Junior goal. After the match, Vinicius accused Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni of directing racial abuse at him during the game. UEFA has provisionally suspended Prestianni, meaning he will miss the second leg. Benfica manager Jose Mourinho - back at the Bernabeu where he managed from 2010 to 2013 - was shown a red card in the first leg and will also be banned from the touchline.
So Benfica travel to Madrid without their suspended player, without their manager on the bench, and trailing 1-0. Real Madrid have home advantage at the Bernabeu, where they have a legendary record in European knockout ties.
But do not write Benfica off completely. Earlier in the league phase, Benfica beat Real Madrid 4-2 in Lisbon. Real have had a turbulent season - Xabi Alonso was sacked as manager in January and replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa as interim. There is enough instability at Real for Benfica to find an opening.
Betting angles: Real Madrid to qualify is the strongest play. They have the lead, home advantage, and Benfica are missing key personnel. But the match itself could be tighter than the odds suggest. Benfica need to score at least once, and they have shown they can hurt Real. Over 1.5 goals is worth considering, along with both teams to score if you think Benfica find the net but Real still go through.

Champions League knockout ties are the best live betting events of the season. Teams trailing on aggregate have to push forward, which creates open games and swinging odds.
Matches to watch live:
Inter vs Bodo/Glimt - If Inter do not score in the first 30 minutes, the tension at San Siro will be massive. The live odds will move fast depending on early goals.
Atletico vs Club Brugge - The first leg was 3-3. If this second leg follows the same pattern, live markets will be volatile all night.
Real Madrid vs Benfica - If Benfica equalize on aggregate, the Bernabeu pressure becomes a factor. Backing Real in-play after a Benfica goal could offer the best value of the week.
